| "The Metropolitans" have one goal, to produce the Highest Quality BarberShop Performance. Our entire organization exists for the quality of the "BarberShop Experience" which we believe creates an atmosphere of growth and fun. Our society is a "Singing Organization" first and while we will afterglow late into the night with anybody, we think the experience of "Ringing that Special Chord" makes our hard work worth while.
If we were to boil the "The Metropolitans" BarberShop Experience down to one phrase it would have to be "Individual Responsibility". This means each member is responsible to learn his music, come to meetings on-time and support the organization with his special talents.
The First Coast Metro chapter is a member of the Sunshine District of the Society for the Preservation of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America, SPEBSQSA (The Barbershop Harmony Society). "The Metropolitans" is the "Show Chorus" that represents our chapter.
We are always looking for singers with whom we can share our love for music, friendship and fellowship. Our meetings are held every Monday night in the Fellowship Hall at the San Jose Church of Christ on San Jose North of University Boulevard at 7:00pm.
